Metronidazole overdose.
Any medication taken in excess can have serious consequences. If you suspect an overdose,
seek medical treatment immediately.
Single oral doses of metronidazole, up to 15 g, have been reported in suicide
attempts and accidental overdoses.

room immediately.

There is no specific antidote for Metronidazole overdose; therefore, management of
the patient should consist of symptomatic and supportive therapy.
Symptoms of Metronidazole overdose may include:
- Ataxia;
- Dizziness;
- Lack of muscle coordination;
- Loss of balance or coordination;
- Nausea;
- Numbness and tingling;
- Seizures (convulsions);
- Seizures;
- Severe dizziness;
- Vomiting;
Seek emergency medical attention if you think you have used too much of this
medicine.
