Symbicort contains two medicines, budesonide and formoterol, in the same unique inhaler.

Symbicort is used to consider an asthma.

The reason to connect these two medicines in the unique inhaler will be, that they influence various aspects of an asthma. Used together, budesonide and formoterol provide the best control with an asthma than unique treatment, reducing number of attacks of an asthma. Symbicort provides both treatments in the same unique inhaler so that treatment is more convenient for the patient:

* Budesonide (see, Pulmicort) - type of a medicine named a steroid (such as glucocorticosteroid) which considers a long (chronic), basic part of an asthma.
